Lake County Chamber Celebrates
95 Years of Service in 2010

The Lake County Chamber of Commerce was established in 1915 as the Waukegan Chamber of Commerce. In the mid-nineties, the name was changed to the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, shortly after the organization moved to its present location on Grand Avenue in Gurnee. Today, the Lake County Chamber represents businesses from throughout Lake County and beyond.

The two main goals of the Lake County Chamber are to provide member businesses with opportunities and value for their membership. Monthly networking opportunities at the Chamber include the twice-monthly Networkers Group, Women's Networking, the Hispanic Business Group, a Business After Hours hosted by a member business, and other joint chamber events. These networking opportunities are supplemented by educational programs and seminars, community events, and the Chamber's annual events, Forecast Lake County, the golf outing, and the annual dinner.

Additionally, Chamber members have the opportunity to promote their business through a variety of "member benefits" that include free and discounted advertising, sponsorships, the member-to-member discount program, newsletter and web site advertising, and referrals from the Chamber and other members. Advertising through the Relocation and Tourism Packets is available as well.

Throughout the year, the Chamber provides member companies with a variety of other opportunities to promote their business and make the social and business contacts necessary to succeed in business today. These projects include County maps and membership directories, community guides, chamber events and fundraisers, and volunteer boards and committees to name just a few.

For membership and/or program information please call the Chamber at 847-249-3800.  Click here for Membership Packet with Rate information...

Lake County Chamber Business Testimonials

Please see below what people are saying about the Lake County Chamber of Commerce. What the Chamber does for these businesses, it can do for yours!

American Outfitters, Ltd., a family-owned Promotional Products business based in Waukegan since 1975, values its membership in the Lake County Chamber of Commerce in many ways. Without question the association with the LCCC has expanded our base of business. We rely on growing our business by networking and word-of-mouth endorsement from satisfied customers. The LCCC membership has been very supportive of those efforts and, hopefully, have come to value our abilities by utilizing our expertise to promote their own businesses. We feel this is a win-win situation for the Chamber membership. We intend to continue our membership in the Chamber and look forward to the many opportunities for business that will present themselves in the coming years as a result of our membership.

Being a member of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce gives our organization access to many business resources and contacts that would otherwise have been difficult to organize if we would have had to compile them on our own. The structure of the affiliate chambers, Hispanic, Waukegan and Gurnee, offers the variety and diversification that we have been searching for. Our company has benefited immensely because of our involvement.
